These two actions arose from a collision which occurred at the intersection of U.S. Highway No. 1 and Southwest 144th Street in Dade County, between a 1955 Chevrolet being driven north on U.S. 1 and a Dade County police car proceeding west on the intersecting cross street, the latter being controlled by a stop sign.
