Appellant brought the instant action alleging that he was defamed by a pamphlet published by respondent as a guide for company employees concerning the proper handling of technical and business ideas received from nonemployees. Special Term held that the writing did not expose appellant "to hatred, contempt or aversion, or to induce an evil or unsavory opinion of him in the minds of a substantial number of the community" or tend to disparage him "in the way of his office...
