A TR-3 Triumph sports car was stolen from in front of Jim's Foreign Car Service Tuesday morning, November 7, 1967. At about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, November 8, 1967, the defendant was arrested while driving the stolen vehicle. He claimed that he had been working at the time the car was stolen and that he had borrowed the car from a friend, "Jerry," who was never located.
