PATTERSON, Justice:

Mississippi Constitution, Article 3, Bill of Rights, section 26 (1890) provides in part as follows:

In all criminal prosecutions the accused shall have a right to be heard by himself or counsel, or both, to demand the nature and cause of the accusation, to be confronted by the witnesses against him, to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and, in all prosecutions...
