This action was instituted by the Attorney General on behalf of the United States on December 27, 1968, pursuant to Title II of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C. § 2000a et seq., to desegregate Johnson Lake Club, Inc., hereinafter referred to as Johnson Lake, located in the 8-Mile Community of Prichard, Alabama.
