On November 15, 1967, plaintiff filed suit against defendant employer for workmen's compensation benefits as the result of an accident which occurred on November 14, 1966. Defendant filed a plea of prescription under the provisions of LSA-R.S. 23:1209 alleging that plaintiff's suit, being filed more than one year after the occurrence of the accident came too late. The plea of prescription was heard by the trial court, testimony was taken thereunder...
