The Secretary of Labor brought suit under Section IV of the Fair Labor Standards Act,1 to enjoin Adair's Cafeterias, Inc. (Adair's), several affiliated corporations and Adair's president and principal stockholder, Gerald P. Adair, from violating the minimum wage and maximum hour provisions of the Act and to restrain the continued withholding of unpaid wages due twenty-seven employees of the central bakery.
