WATERMAN, Circuit Judge:

Walter Joseph Scully was convicted on three counts of armed bank robbery, 18 U.S.C. § 2113(a), (b), and (d), following a jury trial in the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut. He was sentenced on Count 3 to a term of twenty years imprisonment plus a $5,000 committed fine, 18 U.S.C. § 2113(d). The imposition of sentence was suspended on Counts one and two.
