This case deals with the several statutes relating in one way or another to the obtaining of, or the attempt to obtain, drugs by means of false prescriptions.

In 1955, Business and Professions Code section 4390 was enacted. As amended in 1965 that section recites: "Every person who signs the name of another, or of a fictitious person, or falsely makes, alters, forges, utters, publishes, passes, or attempts to pass, as genuine, any prescription...
