On July 30, 1965, the Ohio General Assembly amended Section 3327.01, Revised Code, and enacted Section 3327.011, Revised Code, to become effective January 1, 1966. The title of the bill was "to provide all school children with safe transportation to and from school." Prior to that time the Ohio law had provided for transportation at public expense only to and from publicly-opened and operated schools. The 1965 amendment extended the transportation provisions...
