This action by the Secretary of Labor seeks to have an election of officers of a local labor union invalidated under section 402(c) of the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959, 29 U.S.C. § 482(c), on the ground that the union had unreasonably restricted the eligibility of members for elective office in violation of section 401(e) of the Act, 29 U.S.C. § 481(e).
