RODGERS, Justice:

This is a tort action based upon a bailment contract and is a suit for the allegedly negligent fire loss of the bail property in possession of the bailee. The issue was submitted to a jury of the First Circuit Court District of Hinds County, Mississippi, resulting in a verdict in favor of the bailee, L.M. Jacobs. Eight cases were consolidated for trial by agreement, and it was agreed that the determination of the appeal in the instant case will govern...
