In this action, Mrs. Martin sought to recover damages from defendant-appellant, the Erie-Lackawanna Railroad Company (hereinafter "defendant") for injuries sustained when, as the victim of an abortive purse-snatching attempt occurring on the premises of defendant's Warren, Ohio, passenger station, she was knocked to the ground.
