These companion cases, consolidated for trial and appeal, arise out of a single automobile accident which occurred when a 1963 Chevrolet automobile owned by plaintiff Huey Husser, and being driven by his wife, Elaine M. Husser, also plaintiff herein, was struck from the rear by an overtaking pickup truck owned by defendant Bogalusa Coca Cola Bottling Company, Inc. (Coca Cola) and being driven at the time by its employee, Robert E. Carter...
