Appellant, employed by Lake Charles Stevedores, was one of a gang of longshoremen loading rice on board a vessel belonging to Lykes Brothers Steamship Company. Spotlights located up above the hold on each side of the winchmen were being used, because it was at night. No flagman was on duty.
