The parties will hereinafter be referred to as they appeared in the trial court; that is, the defendants and the State.

On December 6, 1965, the defendants were indicted by the grand jury of Rhea County, Tennessee. Herman Woodrow Ezell was indicted on a charge of murder for the alleged slaying of Lloyd Bostic. Herman Ezell's sons, Billy Ray Ezell, Freddie Ezell and Vernon Lee Ezell, were indicted for aiding and abetting...
