GLADNEY, Judge.

Arthur Thomas Gantt, an employee of the Louisiana Department of Highways, instituted this suit against L. T. Brown and his liability insurer, Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, for the purpose of recovering damages arising from an accident which occurred on July 12, 1963 in which he suffered severe injuries. The case was tried on its merits before a jury which returned a verdict in behalf of the defendants...
