This is an appeal by James Whitten, James Williams and Wigley & Culp, a corporation, from a judgment of the Circuit Court of Coahoma County wherein appellee, Edwin G. Land, Jr., obtained a verdict for $93,000 as damages for personal injuries sustained as the result of an automobile collision. Upon motion for a new trial by appellants, the circuit judge ordered a remittitur of $23,000, thus reducing the judgment to $70,000. From this action of the...
