On May 21, 1962, the claimants filed their claims against the State of New York, alleging that they were falsely arrested by the New York State Police on July 3, 1961. The claimants were arraigned and released on bail on July 3, 1961. They were tried by the court without a jury on January 8, 1962, and, on March 9, 1962, were found not guilty and were discharged.
