On August 22, 1957, the petitioner, James Slebodnik, was arrested for larceny and was indicted and sentenced to the Pennsylvania Correctional Institute for Juveniles at Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, for an indefinite term of imprisonment but not to exceed five years.
