SMITH, Justice.

The plaintiff, a lieutenant on the Police Force of the City of Burlington, received personal injuries as a result of a rear-end collision when the vehicle which he was driving was struck by the vehicle driven by the defendant. Suit was brought in the Chittenden County Court and the cause was tried on December 8, and 9, 1964 in the Chittenden County Court.
