This began as a proceeding for adoption of two children under seventeen years of age by their step-father, J. A. Hughes, but while pending, was dismissed as to one of them. The children in question are the children of petitioner's wife by a former marriage to John E. Skeen, Jr. After being notified of the proposed adoption, John E. Skeen, Jr., father of the children, appeared and vigorously opposed the adoption. Proceedings were dismissed...
