The defendant, Steven Hill, was indicted for the offense of theft of approximately 150 pairs of men's trousers having a value in excess of $150. After being found guilty of this offense by a jury, the defendant was sentenced by the trial judge to imprisonment for a term of not less than four nor more than six years in the Illinois State Penitentiary.
