The state's proof shows that on the night of January 21, 1965, a building occupied by Scogin's grocery in San Juan was broken into and burglarized. In the burglary, a safe weighing between six and seven hundred pounds was taken from the building. Other items of personal property were also taken, including $1,300 in cash, between thirty-five and forty cartons of Pall Mall, Camel, and Winston...
