Paul R. Meyer sued Cornelius S. Meeker on a promissory note in Cause No. D-75718 in the District Court of Jefferson County, Texas. Meeker's pleadings asserted that a partnership existed between himself and Meyer, entitling him to an accounting and to a set-off or counterclaim on the debt evidenced by such note.
