This action for personal injuries and property damage arose out of a collision between two automobiles in Greensboro, North Carolina on June 28, 1962. The so-called Diversity Statute confers jurisdiction upon the federal court. The plaintiff, Nityananda Pati, the appellant here, filed suit against the defendant, Doris West Newman, the appellee, to recover for his injuries.
