Some time in the latter part of the year 1957 the drilling barge "MR. K" overturned in the Gulf of Mexico. Subsequently, the hull was salvaged and purchased by American Marine Corporation and others who undertook the renovation and refitting of the drilling barge and rig. When the salvage of the drilling barge was complete there remained on the floor of the Gulf various pieces of machinery and equipment which had not yet been salvaged...
