FEINBERG, District Judge.

Petitioner, Donald Hicks, was convicted of the crimes of robbery in the first degree and grand larceny in the first degree in the County Court of Dutchess County, New York. He was sentenced on December 18, 1948, following a jury trial, to a term of ten to thirty years, plus an additional term of five to ten years for being armed at the time of commission of the crimes. He is presently serving that sentence at Green Haven Prison in Stormville...
