This is a suit for damages for personal injuries. The plaintiffs, Alphonse J. Cormier, Joseph S. Hill and Mazique Johnson, were passengers in a taxicab at the time it was involved in a collision with a switch engine on a city street in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
