After twenty years' service in the Navy, plaintiff was released from active duty and placed on the retired list, effective August 1, 1955. Not long thereafter he was employed by the United States Naval Repair Facility as an electrician, at an hourly rate of $2.24, the rate established by administrative wage board procedure.
