Plaintiff, as the named insured, instituted this suit to recover the sum of $7,000.00, being the face value of a fire insurance policy, plus penalties and attorney's fees. The policy was issued by defendant company, and covered a dwelling allegedly owned by plaintiff in Cameron Parish. From a judgment awarding plaintiff the full amount of the policy, plus 25 percent penalties and $1,000.00 attorney's fees, defendant...
