This is a personal injury case involving a 3 1/2-year-old pedestrian who darted from a sidewalk into a city street and was struck and injured by defendant's automobile. Plaintiffs, the child's parents, brought action on behalf of their son, Todd, for his damages and also for the father's special damages. The jury awarded substantial damages and thereafter the trial court denied defendant's alternative motion for judgment notwithstanding the verdict...
