The defendants have appealed from a judgment of $5,000.00 in favor of plaintiff.

The plaintiff suffered personal injuries when struck by an automobile owned and driven by defendant, Edward F. Duplessis, about 6:30 o'clock a. m., on March 11, 1959, while walking across the downtown side of Canal Street on Decatur Street in New Orleans.
