McCALEB, Justice.

Defendants were charged with the unlawful sale of whiskey in the Eighth Ward of Washington Parish, Louisiana "* * * where the sale of same is prohibited by Police Jury Ordinance adopted pursuant to a local option election held in said Ward under the provisions of existing law." After a trial, the judge found them guilty and each was fined $100 and costs and, in default of the payment, to imprisonment for 30 days in the parish jail.
