Plaintiff brought an action against the defendant city to recover damages on account of personal injuries sustained by her when she wedged her foot in a hole and fell on August 17, 1957, while descending concrete steps leading from a raised sidewalk on the north side of the West Plains Court Square, which fall she alleged was due to the negligence of the city in causing the steps to become and remain in a defective condition.
