The issue presented is whether or not a union member can sue his union for negligently failing to represent him in his employment relations with his employer. The complaint alleges the plaintiff was an employee of City Dressed Beef Company and, as a member in good standing of defendant union, the defendant owed him the duty to perform with care, skill, reasonable expedience, and faithfulness all matters in which the union represented his employment interests...
