Rib Mountain State Park comprises 550 acres of wooded land located on the top of Rib Mountain in Marathon county close to the city of Wausau. It has been a state park for thirty-seven years and is under the jurisdiction of the Conservation Commission. It was acquired by quitclaim deed from Marathon county in 1922.
