1. The first two special grounds of the motion for new trial make the contention that the verdict rendered by the jury in the case in favor of the plaintiff in the sum of $17,744 is grossly excessive and manifests a bias or prejudice on the part of the jury in its consideration of the case because the plaintiff's special damages under the evidence amounted to only $488, which special damages were due solely to time lost by the plaintiff from her employment...
