This is an action in tort instituted by Luther W. Pearson against Alonzo Taylor, deputy sheriff, and Doug Floyd, sheriff of LaSalle Parish, Louisiana, for personal injuries arising out of his having been shot February 24, 1952. Taylor admitted the shooting, but alleged that he acted in self-defense.
