This is a bill in equity for a declaratory decree, G.L. (Ter. Ed.) c. 231A, inserted by St. 1945, c. 582, § 1, to determine the right of the plaintiff to recover indemnification from the town for expenses or damages awarded him by vote of a town meeting pursuant to G.L. (Ter. Ed.) c. 41, § 100, as amended.1
