On March 26, 1952, at approximately six-thirty p.m., the plaintiff was severely and permanently injured when the automobile in which he was a passenger collided with an automobile operated by one Craig B. Otteson, whose negligence caused the accident. Otteson, who was instantly killed, was at that time the business agent of Millwrights Local No. 1699 (hereafter referred to as the local) which was chartered under the constitution
