On May 21, 1957, the grand jury at Bowling Green returned an indictment charging the defendants under 18 U.S. C.A. § 371 with a conspiracy to violate 18 U.S.C.A. § 1010. The defendants were not before the court and process was issued for their appearance. On the following day, May 22, the defendants and their attorneys appeared in open court.
