This is an appeal by plaintiff from a judgment on a verdict for the defendant in a suit by plaintiff for personal injuries received by him on March 30, 1955, while engaged in his employment in interstate commerce.

The complaint is in two counts. One is for the negligence of the officers, agents or employees of defendant, or by reason of a defect or insufficiency due to negligence of defendant in its engine, appliances, machinery or other equipment...
