The elevator on the Mercer Street side of respondent's tenant-factory building had two entrances at the main floor, one from a vestibule leading from the street, and one from the premises of appellant's employer, a tenant in the building. The elevator was operated by respondent's superintendent between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 12:00 noon, and from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. every working day.
