This action ex delicto was brought by the parents of twenty-two year old Pleas Watkins who was killed May 14, 1955, when struck by a truck owned by the Strickland Transportation Company, and driven by Edward J. Haas. The accident occurred on U. S. Highway 80 near the western limits of Greenwood, Caddo Parish, Louisiana, at about 1:00 o'clock a. m.
