This is a compensation case. Appellant brought her suit under the provisions of Art. 8309d, Vernon's Ann.Civ.St., as sole beneficiary of her husband, Leonard Matthews. In her petition she alleged substantially that on the date of her husband's death he was a "workman" of defendant and that his death was caused by accidental injuries sustained while in the course and scope of his employment as a security officer for the University.
