The plaintiff, in the Common Pleas Court of Scioto County, Ohio, sued the defendants, Earl Spriggs and Berkley A. Reed, seeking redress for the wrongful death of her decedent, Warren Everett Smith. The trial resulted in a verdict against both defendants for the sum of $20,000, upon which judgment was rendered on the 9th day of May, 1953.
