This was an action brought by appellants to recover damages to a shipment of six carloads of stocker cattle transported from Crystal City, Texas to Guthrie Center, Iowa. Recovery was sought because of the alleged violation of 45 U.S.C.A. § 71, referred to in briefs of counsel as the Cruelty to Animals Act and commonly known as the 36 hour law.
