Shortly after two o'clock on the afternoon of December 5th, 1949, Mrs. Teurlings J. Roy, while a passenger in an electric streetcar of defendant, New Orleans Public Service, Inc., fell to the floor and sustained physical injuries. Alleging that the fall was caused by negligent operation of the car by employees of the defendant, Mrs. Roy and her husband brought this suit for damages against the said corporation.
