ELLIS, Judge.
Plaintiff was employed by Farnsworth & Chambers, Inc., as a carpenter and on Nov. 23, 1951 while performing his duties he was struck by the head of a hammer above the left eye. The wound bled freely and he was taken to the first aid station and then immediately to Dr. J. B.
